No Doping Declaration Policy
Strong Commitment to Anti-Doping
AusCycling is firmly committed to promoting and maintaining an anti-doping culture in cycling. To achieve this, we implemented the No Doping Declaration Policy (NDDP) in August 2020. By implementing the NDDP, AusCycling is taking a strong stance against doping. This policy ensures a level playing field and protects the integrity of cycling in Australia.
Who Needs to Declare?
The NDDP applies to specific individuals closely associated with AusCycling, including:
- AusCycling Board Members
- Senior Staff
- High-performance personnel working with national programs, athletes, and teams
- State Institute coaches or personnel directly involved with cycling programs and athletes Athletes in national high-performance programs and/or national teams
- Senior personnel in affiliated organizations (as determined by those organizations)
- For national programs and teams, support personnel like mechanics, physios, and soigneurs who spend more than 28 consecutive or cumulative days with a program in a single season will be required to complete the NDDP.
- Minors Exempt - The NDDP does not apply to individuals under 18 years old.
What Does the Declaration Entail?
Individuals required to sign the NDDP will complete a Statutory Declaration confirming their understanding of anti-doping rules and any potential violations.
Unsure About Your Requirement?
If you're unsure if the NDDP applies to you or have questions about the declaration process, please don't hesitate to contact AusCycling on [email protected]. We're happy to help you.
Choosing the Right Form
The form you use depends on your residency:
- Residents of a state or territory should use the corresponding form based on their Oaths Act.
Overseas Personnel
Individuals residing overseas who are subject to the NDDP due to their connection with AusCycling should utilisze the ACT/NT (Commonwealth) form.
Avoiding Duplication
There's no need to submit multiple declarations. Once completed, you only need to resubmit if your circumstances change and require a new declaration. If you've already signed a similar declaration for another entity, simply provide AusCycling with a copy.
Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs)
TUEs allow the use of medications containing banned substances for legitimate medical reasons. Taking an approved TUE substance doesn't constitute a doping offense, and you can confidently select the appropriate box on the declaration.
Returning the Declaration
Please return a scanned copy of the completed declaration to AusCycling by emailing [email protected].
If requested to submit a Statutory Declaration, please complete and return the original document to AusCycling within 21 days of receiving the request.
