Who trains at the BMX Freestyle National Training Centre and When?
Categorised Athletes
The BMX Freestyle National Training Centre is a dedicated AusCycling training facility for AusCycling high performance & pathway athletes. The facility is designed to offer regular and exclusive training for athletes to improve their skills and performance alongside a dedicated team of coaches and support staff.
The centre offers weekly training sessions and regular training camps for nationally categorised athletes. All sessions are scheduled to offer small numbers to improve the standard of training alongside riders of similar levels.
Training Partners
We recognise the importance of community and collaboration in the sport. AusCycling offers opportunities for training sessions at the National Training Centre to Australian Elite or Alumni riders who positively impact the training environment. This initiative aims to enhance the training environment and culture for our Australian riders by providing diverse training partners.

AC members not in HP pathway
For AusCycling members who are not within the current high-performance program, we have recently added community BMX Freestyle Jam Sessions, held on the Outdoor Park weekly on Saturdays. Community Jam Sessions are suitable for athletes training for State or National Events. Jam sessions can be booked through the AusCycling events page, subject to availability.
International Visitors
Approved International Elite riders can access the BMX Freestyle Australian National Centre alongside our elite riders.

The BMX FS National Training Centre hosts a variety of events and competitions across the year including National Championships, UCI C1 Competitions, Saturday Community Jam Sessions and more.

National Talent Academy
The Academy aims to identify, develop, and support Under 15 Amateurs aspiring for Elite and over 15 Elites or aspiring Elites under the age of 18, helping them enhance their performance and acquire the skills needed to progress through the performance pathways.
Queensland Academy of Sport You for 32 Program
QAS talent search program for any athlete who wants to try BMXFS and aspires to compete at Brisbane 2032.
