Biography
Mark has provided continuous service as Mountain Bike President of Northern Beaches Cycling Club since 2010. Since 2011, Mark has tirelessly advocated for mountain bike facilities in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. In 2017 he successfully advocated for 28km of walking trail, known as the yaberoo budjara heritage trail, to be upgraded to a mountain bike trail.
Mark has maintained the trail counter since, with an aim of demonstrating use and advocating for further improvements. His decade-long advocacy for mountain bike trails at Yellagonga Regional Park has come to fruition with tenders currently being assessed for construction of 7km of trails to be constructed in 2024.
Without Mark, there would be no mountain bike facilities throughout the northern corridor of Perth.
