State Advisory Councils Confirmed

Nov 22, 2022

AusCycling is pleased to announce the appointments to the State and Territory Advisory Councils who will sit in the roles for the next two years.

With a focus on supporting AusCycling’s 450+ Member Clubs, the Advisory Councils will assist to inform and support the delivery of targeted elements of the Strategy 2032, Horizon One agenda.

Insights from the first year of operations have informed the refreshed Terms of Reference for the State Advisory Councils, which also align with AusCycling’s commitment to increase representation of women on the board committees.

AusCycling Chief Executive, Marne Fechner, said she was pleased to have the State Advisory Councils in place and acknowledged the varied skills and experiences the members will bring to support the implementation of our Horizon One strategy.

“The establishment of AusCycling has been a massive change for the sport and on the back of COVID we have some big challenges ahead of us. But there are also huge opportunities, which will only be unlocked if we work together with a clear plan for success. The State Advisory Councils will play a critical role in ensuring we create united, inclusive and empowered communities, where clubs and people thrive.”

The Charters for each Council can be found here.

The National Advisory Council will be announced in the coming weeks, once the additional appointments have been made to ensure we meet our commitment to a 60:40 gender split.

AusCycling congratulates the following members of each Council:
