In memory of Will Georgeson

Jul 5, 2021

AusCycling joins the cycling community in mourning the passing of Will Georgeson today.

Our thoughts are with Will's family and friends at this time.

Will was a staple of the University of Queensland Cycle Club family after joining in 2015.

Will was a constant driver in UQCC's crits, and had a huge passion for the club and everything associated to it.

Will was a chief protagonist in organising his Nebo Tuesday club rides in Brisbane and regularly part of UQCC's mentoring group, guiding new riders in D Grade crits for what to do and look out for during a race.

Will

This year, he was recognised as a UQCC Club Captain for these efforts.

To everyone who knew him, he was kind, caring and one of the most humble guys you could know.

Will's friends, family and the cycling community at large are all devastated to lose Will from our lives but know that we are all better off for having known him.

As a first act of recognising his legacy, UQCC will be raising funds for Beyond Blue so that they might help someone else in need, before it is too late.
