Craig Bingham elected to AOC Board

AusCycling Chair, Craig Bingham, has been elected to the Australian Olympic Committee Board.
Bingham, who became AusCycling Chair in January 2022, was one of two new Directors elected to the AOC Board, joining swimming great and Olympic gold medallist Susie O’Neill.
The election is the latest in a string of senior appointments for Bingham who is also non-executive Chairman of property investment group Forza Capital, Chair of Avenue Bank and a Director of the Australian Cricketers Retirement Account.
Bingham has also served as global CEO of Bennelong Funds Management, CEO - Asia for Federated Investors and Aviva Investors and was the founder of a global advisory business for financial services.
“It’s a great honour, I’m absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to engage with all our athletes and national sporting organisations, making sure those voices are heard,” he said.
“Business and sport really go hand in hand, it’s all about people and culture. How do we foster a great culture where everybody feels part of a high performing entity and that’s what I hope to bring.”
AOC President Ian Chesterman AM said; “Craig Bingham brings so much to the table, he's a very successful businessman, he does a lot of work in the philanthropy space.
“He’s really prepared to put his shoulder to the wheel to help with fundraising, that's going to be absolutely vital for us to find new ways of getting different sources of funding into the sports system.”
