Gran Fondo: Where the Australian riders placed at worlds

Over 100 Australian amateur cyclists took to the roads of Scotland to contest the 2023 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships yesterday.

They sunshine turned it on for thousands of riders who travelled to Scotland from all parts of the world to contest for a rainbow jersey in their age category.

The gran fondo and shorter medio fondo routes took riders through the stunning rolling hills of central Scotland, starting and finishing at Perth and Kinross.

Australia's top result was John Horsburgh (Peloton Sports) who won silver in the 75-79 age category.
