COVID-19 Update - July 19

In response to the developing situation nationally concerning COVID-19 outbreaks and related restrictions, AusCycling is providing an update on several events. Last Update 28 June 2021.

After consultation with our hosts, government agencies, rides and team managers, we have made the difficult decision to make changes to:

• AusCycling Junior Track National Championships

• AusCycling Masters Track National Championships

• Battle on the Border (NRS and QRTS)

• Cartel Club Series 4 – Green Valley

• Victorian Cyclo-cross Round 3 – Beechworth

• NSW BMX Round 8 – Bateman Bay

• AusCycling MTB Schools National Championships

We understand there will be disappointment, but we are hopeful the current situation is remedied soon. This will of course, not suit everyone and we remind riders that they can scratch at any time through EntryBoss and receive an immediate refund.

AusCycling Junior Track National Championships

The Junior Road National Championships will be transformed into a festival which, alongside the National Junior Road Championships, will include some National Track events and development sessions with leading coaches and athletes. These will all take place in Shepparton, Victoria , over the same scheduled week. The full details will be released over the next week.

Note: all entries will be automatically scratched and refunded for those already entered in this event.

AusCycling Masters Track National Championships

The Masters Track National Championships will occur from November 25-28 at the Anna Meares Velodrome in Brisbane.

Battle on the Border

Due to the community, police and limitations on the number of participants who can access NSW, it’s been determined that the event will be postponed.  NX Sports is currently investigating both an alternative date and potentially new location (in the Queensland border region) which may provide riders with the best opportunity to attend a National Road Series or Queensland Teams Road Series standard event.

Cartel Club Series 4 – MTB National Cup (Silver)

The MTB National Cup (Silver) round at Green Valleys Park has been rescheduled to August 9.

2021 AusCycling VICXS R3 – Beechworth

Round 3 of the AusCycling VIC Cyclo-cross Series has been rescheduled to August 15. The weekend will also feature the Tour de Beechworth Gravel Ride on August 14.

2021 AusCycling ACT/NSW BMX State Series R8 – Batemans Bay

Round 8 of the AusCycling ACT/NSW BMX State Series at Batemans Bay BMX Club, has been rescheduled to Sunday, 12 September.

2021 AusCycling Schools National Championships

The 2021 AusCycling MTB Schools National Championships will not be conducted. AusCycling is currently working on an exciting new schools championships format for 2022.
