COVID-19 Update - August 23

In response to the developing situation nationally concerning COVID-19 outbreaks and related restrictions, AusCycling is providing an update on several events. Last Update August 9 2021.

After consultation with our hosts, government agencies, riders and team managers, we have made the decision to make changes to:

Road

• AusCycling Junior Road National Championships
• AusCycling State Junior Road Championships – New South Wales and Victoria
• AusCycling State Masters Road Championships – New South Wales
• AusCycling State Team Time Trial Weekend – NSW South Wales

BMX

• BMX National Cup R5 – Wynyard and State BMX Championships - Tasmania

Cyclo-Cross

• AusCycling National Cyclo-Cross Championships
• AusCycling State Cyclo-Cross Championships - Victoria
• AusCycling Cyclo-Cross National Series

Mountain Bike

• National Cup “Dia De Los Muertos” & MTB - DH State Championships – New South Wales

We understand there will always be disappointment, however, we are committed to hosting as many events as possible this year. While changes will not suit everyone, and we remind riders that they can scratch at any time through EntryBoss and receive an immediate refund.

Road

AusCycling Junior Road National Championships

Due to the continued restrictions in Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT the Junior National Road Championships have been rescheduled to November 12-14 in Shepparton.

State Junior Road Championships - Victoria and New South Wales

The State Junior Road Championships in NSW will now be held from October 30-31.

The State Junior Road Championships in Victoria are tentatively scheduled for September 11-12. If this is not possible the alternative date will be October 23-24.

State Masters Road Championships – New South Wales

The NSW Masters Road Championships are now scheduled be held in the Singleton region from October 29-31, replacing the NSW Club Team Time Trial Championship weekend.

State Team Time Trial Championships – New South Wales

The NSW Team Time Trial Championships in Singleton will not take place. The State Masters Road Championships will replace this event.

BMX

BMX National Cup R5 – Wynyard and State BMX Championships – Tasmania

The BMX National Cup Round 5 in Wynyard will not take place due to border restrictions. The Tasmanian BMX State Championships will proceed in the traditional two-day format on September 11- 12. Further information will be updated on the event site.

Cyclo-Cross

AusCycling National Cyclo-Cross Championships

AusCycling can confirm that the location for the 2021 National Cyclo-Cross Championships has been confirmed as Creswick, Victoria on October 17.

AusCycling State Cyclo-Cross Championships – Victoria

The State Cyclo-Cross Championships – Victoria scheduled to occur in Warragul will now be held on October 9-10.

Mountain Bike

The National Cup “Dia De Los Muertos” and NSW Downhill State Championships at Green Valleys Mountain Bike Park in NSW, scheduled for 19 September, have been cancelled. Green Valleys is looking to schedule a new Downhill event for early 2022.

We thank all our riders, partners, hosts and spectators for their understanding and cooperation. These are challenging times and we appreciate the ongoing support of the cycling family as we navigate this together.
