Free trial FAQs.
Who can get a free trial?
The free trial is available to anyone who has not held an AusCycling membership before. One per person, per lifetime.
What am I covered for during the trial?
Your trial includes personal accident and public liability insurance cover for club rides and club level activities. This is not the same as a full paid membership. Free trial cover is limited to club-level activities and does not include 24/7 coverage for solo training, commuting or state and national events.
Can I race during my trial?
You can participate in club-level and intraclub level races. The free trial does not cover state or national-level events, which require a Race membership.
What happens after 30 days?
Nothing automatically – you won’t be charged. If you’d like to continue, you can join with any of the following memberships through your AusCycling account:
- Ride – for social and group riding ($149/year*),
- Club – for local racing ($249/year*), or
- Race – for all levels of racing ($319/year*).
What does it cost to join a club?
Your AusCycling membership is separate from club fees, which are set by each individual club. Some clubs or riding groups are free to join, others will add a fee to support the club and local activities. Any club fee is itemised clearly at checkout before you pay.
I’ve been a member before – can I still get a trial?
The free trial is for first-time AusCycling members only. If you’ve held a membership previously, you can select a membership or event licence through an account in AusCycling’s membership platform, JustGo.
Consider it a test ride.
