2026 Brennan Illawarra Tour - NSW/ACT Senior Road Series: Round 4

  • Road

With four grades each for Men and Women, the tour has something for everyone! A Criterium on the circuit used for the 2022 National Masters and Junior Championships kicks the tour off, followed by a short Road Race at the top of Mt Keira. Finally a long Road Race at West Dapto on a rolling circuit with plenty of opportunities for breakaways to get up the road and an uphill sprint finish to challenge the legs.

U17W, U17M, JW19, JM19, Elite Women, Elite Men, Masters Women & Masters Men

U17 Men & U17 Women can Race any senior grade Gear. Restrictions still apply for all Juniors.

You must hold an AusCycling Race All Discipline license

This event is not open to temporary or recreational memberships

Please note - where there are smaller numbers in any category, they will be combined with others, separate points for the series will apply to those grades that have been combined

Course

Stage 1: Criterium

The morning Criterium consists of 10 to 30 mins + 3 laps, depending on your grade, of racing around the 1 km circuit on the Illawarra Criterium Circuit. The circuit consists of tight and sweeping turns, all left-handed, with a long sweeping corner opening up to the finishing line with around 100M to go

Stage 2: Mount Keira Road Race

The Sunday Road race consists of 2 to 8 laps around an 8KM circuit. The course provides approx. 120M of elevation gain per lap.

Stage 3: Road Race

The Sunday Road race consists of 1 to 4 laps around a 20.4KM circuit. The course provides approx. 235M of elevation gain per lap.

Locations, Parking & Road Conditions

Riders should be aware that roads on the race route are country roads, and the condition may vary. 

Stage 2 – The section of road used for the race will be closed between the hours of 12:00PM and 4:30PM. There will be no vehicle access to the start/finish between these times. Parking will be along the closed section of Mt Keira Rd between Clive Bissell Drive and Harry Graham Drive.

Stage 3 – The section of road used for the race will be closed between the hours of 7:00AM and 12:00PM. There will be no vehicle access to the racecourse between these times. Parking will be along Penrose Drive, accessed from Avondale Road.

Technical Regulations

The event will be run according to AusCycling Technical Regulations & the AusCycling Extreme Weather Policy.
