69th Ken Dinnerville & 5th Barbara Wyles Handicap

This year will be the 69th edition of the race, founded to remember the death of local cyclist Ken Dinnerville. The Ken Dinnerville Memorial Bike Race commenced in 1957. It was started by Mr. Roy Cleary who was Ken’s uncle. It was his idea to have a race in honour of his nephew who was struck by a car while riding and passed away.
Mrs. Noelene Cleary, the aunty of Ken Dinnerville, provided the prizes and trophy’s each year to the winner of the Ken Dinnerville Memorial Bike Race.
In 2022 the event was split to provide an exclusive race for females with the addition of the Barbara Wyles Memorial Handicap event. The Female only handicap road race is a one of its kind on the Australian racing calendar and this year will be its 5th anniversary. The race is in honour of life member of the Illawarra Cycle Club Barbara Wyles who unfortunately passed away in 2025.
The men’s race will have 8 groups; the women's race a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 groups.

Barbara Wyles Handicap: JW19, U23W, Elite Women, Masters Women
All entrants must hold a current, valid AusCycling Race All Discipline Membership.
This event is not open to Temporary or Recreational Memberships
