First time racing CX?
Never raced before? No problem! You can get a free four-week trial license to race; this includes Juniors. Remember to nominate your local club. (Only available if you’ve not held a race license in the last two years.)
A Race license provides insurance cover for injury for yourself and others, and liability cover for damage to property.
See this page for details on all license types including the free four-week trial
If you’re only racing Cyclocross and not also on the road or track, then choose an Offroad license to save money.
Grading guide
- C = New to bike racing generally / moderate pace and/or older
riders. There’s a range between the front and back of the race. - B = Any tyre width allowed, Trained and competitive riders used
to racing. A broad range of speeds. MTBers will be started in a separate
wave behind the main field for safety. - A = Any tyre width allowed. Drop bars only. Seasoned, competitive
racers and Elites
If you can finish in the top 10 of the C or B fields, you should consider going up a grade. Your CX grade should be the same as your road racing or MTB grade. An A-grade rider trying CX for the first time is still probably best suited to A grade, etc.
Entry fees
- Senior men’s and women’s grades: $25
- Offer! New women riders to NSW CX can race with free entry.
To enter please email [email protected] - Juniors (U13 – U17): $15
