2027 AusCycling Downhill National Series - Round 1

The Downhill National Series launches on Mt Buller’s alpine trails.

The 2027 AusCycling Downhill National Series launches at Mt Buller Ski Resort, with Round 1 running from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 February.

Hosted by Buller Ski Lifts, the opening round brings Australia’s downhill riders together for a huge weekend of racing in Victoria’s High Country.

Mt Buller’s steep alpine terrain, technical features and fast lines provide the first test of the national mountain bike season as riders chase ranking points and establish their positions in the overall Series standings.

Whether you’re stepping up to the national level or returning with your sights set on the Series title, get ready to start the season with an awesome weekend of downhill racing.

Entries open on Wednesday 11 November 2026 and close on Wednesday 3 February 2027.

Age Categories & Eligibility

Riders for the Elite, Junior, Unders (15 & 17) & Masters age category must meet the criteria below.

  • Born on or before 01/01/2014. Minimum 13 years old as at 31/12/2027. Riding up is not permitted.
  • Hold a current and valid AusCycling "Race" membership.
Membership Requirements

Eligibility AusCycling Race membership is required to enter this event. Get a Race membership
