Life Member Nominations & Awards

ClubsRecognition

Life Membership is the most prestigious award AusCycling can bestow upon an individual. It recognises those who have made an extraordinary and sustained contribution to cycling in Australia and whose dedication has left a lasting impact on the sport and our community.

Life Members are elected by the AusCycling Board and approved by the Clubs at the AGM.  These individuals represent the very best of what our sport stands for. Their commitment, passion, and leadership have helped shape Australian cycling into what it is today.

Eligibility and criteria

To be considered for Life Membership, a nominee must have demonstrated an exceptional and enduring contribution to cycling over a significant period of time. Contributions may span competitive achievement, organisational leadership, grassroots development, officiating, or other forms of distinguished service to the sport. The award is not tied to any single discipline and is open to individuals across all areas of cycling.

Recipients are announced as part of the AusCycling AGM annually.  Nominations for the year close annually on March 1.

How to nominate

Nominations for Life Membership are accepted from AusCycling members. To submit a nomination, complete the online nomination form and provide supporting documentation that details the nominee's contributions and the impact they have had on cycling in Australia.

Nominations are assessed by the AusCycling Awards Committee in accordance with the Awards Policy, and recommendations are put to the Board for final approval.
