Josh Jolly

Born in Ballarat, Josh Jolly first began riding a bike at the age of two and hasn’t looked back.

The 20-year-old is one of the world’s most exciting BMX racing prospects and looms large as LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 edge closer.

Jolly claimed his first national title at just nine years old, the first of what has grown to be 14 national titles.

In his final year as a junior, Jolly became world champion at the 2024 UCI BMX Racing World Championships held in Rock Hill. He also picked up two U23 UCI BMX Racing World Cup podiums, the first in Rotorua at Round 2 and the second in Tulsa at Round 5.

In 2025, Jolly earned a maiden World Cup win in Papendal at Round 4 and finished third overall.

At the 2025 UCI BMX Racing World Championships in Copenhagen, Jolly won a bittersweet silver medal after holeshotting and leading the U23 final until the last corner.

Through the opening months of 2026, Jolly has won the U23 Oceania crown in Brisbane and claimed another World Cup in Papendal at Round 4, along with a Round 1 silver in Sarrians.
