Competing in Paris 2024

Hailing from Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, Manly moved to Adelaide in her youth.

She took up cycling through the South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) talent identification program when she was 14.

A track endurance member of the Australian Cycling Team, since 2015 Manly has also ridden on the road for the GreenEDGE team.

Manly claimed multiple junior Oceania and national crowns between 2012 and 2014. She punctuated her exit from the junior ranks with under-19 world titles in the team pursuit and individual pursuit.

In her debut elite season in 2015, Manly claimed Track World Cup gold in the team pursuit.

In 2017, she added dual under-23 road national titles to her palmarès by winning the time trial and road race – a feat she then repeated in 2018. She also won the 2017 Madison national title, the first of many.

At the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Manly joined Ashlee Ankudinoff, Amy Cure and Annette Edmondson to take the honours in the team pursuit on home soil.

At the 2019 UCI Track World Championships in Poland, Manly shone with dual world titles. She won the team pursuit with Ankudinoff, Cure, Edmondson and Georgia Baker, then soared to win the rainbow jersey in the points race.

Manly's dream of competing at the Olympic Games was realised in 2021 in Tokyo. There, she was part of Australia’s team pursuit squad, which placed fifth.

In 2022, Manly switched her focus back onto the road, where she won four stages and the overall at the LOTTO Thüringen Tour in Germany and a WorldTour stage win at the Tour of Scandinavia.

Later that year, Manly paired up with Baker to win their first Madison national title together – a title they would successfully defend one year later.

In 2023, Manly won a stage of the Tour Down Under on home roads near Adelaide. She joined Baker in the Madison at the 2023 UCI World Championships in Glasgow, where they won silver for the ARA Australian Cycling Team.

She made her second Olympic appearance at Paris 2024, where Australia placed seventh in the team pursuit and ninth in the Madison (with Baker).
