Danelutti first started BMX Freestyle at age 12, regularly riding at RampFest Indoor Skate Park in Melbourne’s western suburbs.

After competing in the local skate park series as a 13-year-old, Danelutti’s first big competition came in 2017, where he rode in the UCI BMX Freestyle Park competition in Chengdu, China at age 17.

Danelutti finished fifth in the inaugural Oceania Continental Championships in 2019, followed by a fourth-placed finish at the National titles that same year.

Top-five and top-ten finishes came at the National titles in 2020 and 2021 respectively, setting the scene for a breakthrough 2022 that included a sixth-place finish at the Oceania Continental Championships, fourth place at the National Championships, a bronze medal at the Victorian State Champions, and a gold medal at a UCI C1 event on the Gold Coast.

Danelutti also returned to the international stage in 2022, competing at all three stops of the World Cup tour, and taking 20th place at the UCI Urban World Championships in Abu Dhabi.

By now a regular member of the national team, Danelutti again competed for Australia at the 2023 UCI World Championships and at every World Cup round that year, including Belgium where he achieved a career-best 14th place.

Domestically, Danelutti secured bronze at the 2023 Oceania Continental Championships and another top-five result at the Australian National titles, with two more UCI C1 gold medals added in late 2023.

2024 began with a silver medal at the 2024 Australian National Championships, his best ever result in the competition, and another career-best followed at the UCI World Cup round in Japan, when Danelutti recorded his first ever top-ten World Cup result, finishing ninth.
