AusCyclingSA (ACSA) is excited to continue the fantastic work done by the previous BMXSA board in welcoming HutSix on board as the major partner of the 2021 SA BMX State Series, and the 2021 SA BMX State Championships for the second year in a row. The continuation of this sponsorship embeds HutSix as the major supporter of BMX throughout this part of Australia as they also support Central Australia and the Northern Territory by being major partners of the BMX NT State Championships and BMX NT State Titles.

HutSix is one of the Northern Territory’s leading software development companies that creates custom software solutions and systems for organisations big and small across the country. Their team of eight supports a wide multitude of corporate organisations and community groups by streamlining systems and improving functionality of workplaces. HutSix has a sister company that specialises in media and communications, bellette, that will help manage the graphic design and communication side of these two major South Australian events.

ACSA will be leveraging this partnership by harnessing the skills of HutSix and bellette to improve the existing web presence and communications strategy in place to help bring the SA State Series to a new level in 2021. 2021 is the first year of the national alliance formed across nine cycling sports in Australia, with the SA Series being one of the first events of the year to take place under the AusCycling banner, and is likely to attract at least 10% of the 52,000 AusCycling membership base.

ACSA State Manager Lachie Ambrose said of the new partnership “When we first were approached by HutSix, we saw an opportunity to really push the series forward. Branding and digital presence have not been the strengths of our old organisations, across all disciplines, and we really see a fantastic opportunity to modernise, build and promote the sport and the respective events whilst simultaneously providing a better experience to the members.”

ACSA and Hutsix will be working together to roll out both branding and an updated web experience in the lead up to the events. Ambrose is looking to the future with this partnership, “We didn’t want to rush this, and it’s disappointing for our first round that it won’t be fully rolled out, but we see this as a long term investment, and any wait will be worth it.”

BMX has a place close in HutSix’s heart, with over half of the team being involved in the sport at a local level in Alice Springs at the Red Centre BMX Club. HutSix CEO Brad Bellette is “looking forward to continuing the strong relationship that is felt between the NT and SA BMX Clubs and associated bodies. I’m excited to contribute to the strategic direction of these major events, and help increase the greater public awareness of the inclusive sport of BMX.”

The first round of the 2021 State Series kicks off at Tea Tree Gully this weekend. This year, the State Series will form a key component of the AusCycling BMX National Cup, with a total of 7 rounds to form the State Series.
