COVID-19 Status

Updated 20/07/2021

The most recent restrictions for South Australians have informed an update to the status of AusCycling South Australia’s operations and cycling in general for the near future.

The latest advice provided by SA Health and SAPOL is as below (current 20/07/2021):

Indoor/Outdoor Sport and Recreational Activities

  • All indoor and outdoor sport training and competition has been suspended for at least the next 7 days.
  • All club and state fixed cycling venues are to be closed during this period;
    • Any organised use of these venues will not be insured or sanctioned by AusCycling, and may be in breach of the Emergency Declaration and Directions from the Commissioner of Police

Outdoor activity

For the next 7 days from 6pm on Tuesday 20 July 2021, there are significant restrictions on outdoor exercise. This exercise must be undertaken with ONLY members of your household, within 2.5km of your home and for no more than 90 minutes per day. We expect cooperation from our membership and from the wider cycling community in this.
