COVID Update

This afternoon AusCycling was invited to a briefing by Queensland Sport and Recreation on what this morning’s COVID announcement means for sport around Queensland.

According to the announcement all organised community sport, including training and events, is prohibited within the Greater Brisbane area until 5pm Thursday 1^st April, 2021. Greater Brisbane is defined as Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay, and the Redlands.

Members who have been in the Greater Brisbane area since March 20, including attendance at the AusCycling Elite & U19 Track National Championships, are required to abide by the lockdown restrictions and should not participate in any organised Club activities even if they are currently located outside of the Greater Brisbane region.

Training and competition outside of Greater Brisbane can continue, but those living within Greater Brisbane will be unable to attend.
