Satellite City to Host World Championship Riders

Satellite City BMX Club is set to host Australia’s fastest BMX riders in a 2022 World Championship Selection trial doubleheader on Friday, April 30th, and Saturday, May 1st.

17+ Junior and Senior Elite riders will compete in a performance trial consisting of 4 laps on the Friday before racing in the Superclass 16+ Class at Round 2 of the 2021 HutSix NT BMX Series on Saturday.

Performance Trial Format

The activity format will consist of:

• 30-minute track warm-up
• 15-minute break
• 4 x full laps with 25 min recovery between each lap.
• The first 3 laps will be sorted by current athlete lap ranking.
• The fourth lap will be sorted by the fastest laps from the first 3 laps creating an A, B, C final with the fastest having lane pick.

Race Format

Normal race format will apply at sanctioned UCI or AusCycling events and performance data will be used.
