PREVIOUSLY THE LEVEL 0 MTB SKILLS INSTRUCTOR COURSE

 

Date: Saturday 6th August 2022

Time:  Start: 8.15am arrival for an 8.30am start.  Finish: approximately 5 pm.

Venue:   Alice Springs, NT. Specific location will be confirmed closer to course date. 

Cost: $290 pp.

Course Information

The AusCycling Foundation Instructor - MTB (previously MTBA Level 0 MTB Skills Instructor) is the entry point to the AusCycling Coaching & Instructor pathway and is aimed at parents, clubs and teachers who want to learn the basics of group management, risk assessment and skills teaching techniques. 

Participants successfully completing the course will be equipped to lead beginner group rides and n deliver basic skills instruction sessions.

Additional information about the course including where to go and what to bring will be emailed to registered participants the week leading up to the course. Participants are required to bring their own bike, including helmet and riding gear, also lunch, snacks and water for the day.

Copies of the following documents will be required in order to finalise your accreditation and for you to meet AusCycling's insurance requirements.

  •         Current First Aid Certification (Provide First Aid - HLTAID003 or HLTAID011)

  •         Valid Working With Children Check for the State/Territory in which you are coaching

 

If you don't have these at the time of the course, you are still welcome to attend, please note that AusCycling will not be able to finalise your accreditation until all the necessary documents have been received, you will have 6 months to complete the process.

  • Face masks must be carried and worn when asked or as appropriate to comply with Government regulations. It is strongly recommended you wear on whenever you cannot keep 1.5 metres distance from others.

  • Using alcohol based hand sanitisers

  • Where possible maintain physical distancing

  • Minimising the sharing of equipment

  • Covering your coughs and sneezes with your elbow or a tissue.
