TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Technical Guide - 17/10/2022

Be required to wear minimum safety gear including appropriately approved helmet in accordance with AusCycling Technical Regulations
A jersey or shirt covering the elbows must be worn as a minimum. 3/4 length jerseys are acceptable. Knees must be covered by full-length trousers and/or self-fastening knee or knee/shin guards expressly designed for off-road competition
For all riders who are eligible to compete in the Under 13, 15, and Under 17 categories, the following equipment is mandatory at all times while on track regardless of registered category: 

  • Full-finger gloves must be worn; 
  • Full-length jersey – jersey must cover elbows at all times; 
  • Knee pads and elbow pads must be worn.

AusCycling strongly recommends the use of the following for all competitors: 

  • Neck brace expressly designed for off-road competition; 
  • Back and shoulder protection expressly designed for the purpose; 
  • Full finger gloves; 
  • Elbow protectors and/or long sleeve jersey to the wrist; 
  • Goggles are expressly designed for the purpose.

Entries for the event have been capped due to venue constraints. To manage registration in the fairest possible manner and to provide equitable and best category representation, the entry process will include four phases:

  1. Protected pre-entry for 2021 AusCycling GE National Champions. (completed)
  2. Capped Entries by category (completed)
  3. EOI Entries (completed)
  4. Final Entry Spots (completed)
  5. Waitlist: Riders can be able to be added to the waitlist using the following LINK

Yes. The park will be open the week leading up to the event. Parts of the "Championship" courses will be closed at times for course maintenance, markings/setup, etc. However, there should be other trials you can ride on during this time.

The 2022 Championships are aligning with the EWS categories.

E-Mountain Bike events are open to all riders aged 19 and over and include Masters categories

In order to be eligible for National Championships, the rider must be aged 17 or above.
